This four-player deathmatch map takes a simplified level design - two rooms and two corridors - to create solid and balanced gameplay.

Special attention was given towards critical and secondary paths, health, ammo, and weapon placement, and the overall look and feel of the level.

For this project, I was given a block-out of a deathmatch level and told to complete it. The
block-out could not be changed except for structural improvements such as stairs and balconies. My task was to add all necessary gameplay and create a unifying visual theme without making any of my own art assets.

At any given location the player in vulnerable to attack from some direction, forcing players to continue moving through the level. I gave particular attention towards item and weapon placement, using health vials to lead the player through the critical path like breadcrumbs and placing the best weapons in vulnerable locations.

The development time for the project was only one week, forcing me to optimize my time to create a polished level with balanced gameplay.
